EU updated the harmonised standards for toys of EN71 Part 3 and Part 13

EU Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/2519 updates harmonised toy standards to EN 71 3:2019+A2:2024 and EN 71 13:2021+A2:2024, with the previous A1 versions valid only until 16 June 2027.

On 16 December 2025, the European Commission approved a Decision to amend the list of harmonised standards for toys.

Upon requested, CEN has revised the harmonised standards EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 and EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021, the references of which are published by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740. This resulted in the adoption of harmonised standards EN 71-13:2021+A2:2024 and EN 71-3:2019+A2:2024.

Therefore, under the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/2519 amending Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740, the following harmonised are updated:

The standards EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021 and EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 is on the list of harmonised standards until 16 June 2027, they will be removed from the list afterward.
